Meet Arlene
Arlene is a seasoned public affairs, policy advocacy, and coalition-building leader with decades of experience advancing systems change, influencing public policy, and building strategic partnerships across government, nonprofit, media, and community sectors.
Throughout her career, Arlene has served at the intersection of advocacy, legislation, communications, and community engagement, working to remove barriers, elevate underrepresented voices, and create lasting impact for vulnerable populations. She is recognized for her ability to convene diverse stakeholders, cultivate influential partnerships, and translate complex policy issues into meaningful action.
Most notably, Arlene served as Nevada's Ombudsman for Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, and Sexual Assault within the Nevada Attorney General's Office, where she advocated for survivors, collaborated with law enforcement and community organizations, and played an instrumental role in advancing legislation focused on victim protection, human trafficking prevention, domestic violence, and sexual assault response. Her work succesfully passed some legislative bills for human trafficking, domestic violence and sexual assault which strengthen systems of support while ensuring survivors' legal, emotional, and practical needs remained at the center of policy conversations.
Arlene also served a Nevada Governor leading outreach initiatives to underserved communities and acting as a liaison between government, media, and community stakeholders. As the Governor's spokesperson for Hispanic media, she helped advance public awareness efforts and supported legislative initiatives impacting education, economic opportunity, and community development throughout Nevada.
In addition to her government and nonprofit work, Arlene also built an extensive career in media and communications, working with major broadcast networks in major TV productions for ESPN, NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, VH1 and MTV. As a bilingual journalist, she worked for univision and NBC as news anchor personality, executive producer, and communications strategist, she created programs and campaigns that informed, educated, and empowered diverse audiences while strengthening community engagement.
Yet behind the professional accomplishments was a deeply personal journey.
Like many high achievers, Arlene spent years pushing forward while carrying the invisible weight of unprocessed trauma.
As a child survivor of sexual abuse, a violent robbery, and a serious car accident, she became intimately familiar with adversity. As a divorced mother raising her daughter alone, there were seasons when she worked three jobs simustaneously while building a career, supporting her daughter, and striving to create opportunities for a better future.
From the outside, she appeared successful. Inside, she was exhausted.
For years, she wore the mask many people know too well—telling others she was fine while quietly struggling. Eventually, her body forced her to slow down through illnesses. What felt like a setback became an awakening.
That chapter led her back to herself.
Beyond the titles, achievements, and expectations, she rediscovered her connection to her body, her intuition, and her inner wisdom. Her healing journey sparked a deep exploration of breathwork, mindfulness, energy healing, nervous system regulation, and holistic wellness practices. While she deeply values evidence-based healthcare, she also believes some of the most profound healing occurs when Western and Eastern approaches work together rather than compete.
As she healed herself, she found herself helping others do the same.
In 2020, during a time when many people were experiencing uncertainty, loss, stress, and isolation, Arlene felt called to create a space where conversations about healing, growth, wellbeing, and human potential could happen more openly. She noticed that extraordinary wisdom existed across mental health, advocacy, wellness, spirituality, research, and lived experience—yet these conversations rarely happened together.
That realization led to the creation of Arlene Inspires, a deeply personal practice designed to encourage healing one person at a time, growth, self-discovery, and meaningful connection using different western and eastern modalities.
Today, that vision is evolving into The Human Evolution Nexus, the Arlene Inspires Way.
A platform dedicated to bridging the worlds of mental health, science, emotional intelligence, personal growth, advocacy, mindfulness, intuition, and human potential. Arlene believes the future of wellbeing requires a more integrated approach—one that honors both science and spirituality, both systems change and personal transformation.
Arlene no longer does 1:1 work, she continues committed to champion mental health, wellness, advocacy, leadership development, stakeholder's engagement and community impact through her professional work; while simultaneously building a platform dedicated to helping people heal, awaken self-trust, and elevate human potential.
Her unique combination of public policy expertise, legislative advocacy, communications leadership, lived experience, intuitive development, and personal transformation allows her to bridge worlds that are often seen as separate.
Throughout every chapter of her professional journey, one common thread has remained, service.
